P.S. - LOVE YOUR WEBSITE
We just wanted to contact you to say that May will be a year that we have had our hot tub.
We have loved using it all year round. We have loved the summer months as much as the winter months. This is one of the best investments we have made. Your company has been terrific and we will continue to refer friends and family.
Thank you,
Michael & Jennifer Melnik
After Purchasing my hot tub from long island pool and spa October of 2009, every time I see someone in the store thinking abnout making an addition to their lives, I just want to tell them how happy I am and encourage them to take the plunge.
Breifly, this is why I am so thrilled: to begin with, the actual purchase was easy. I got great advice from my salesperson, Jeff, and I have the perfect tub for my needs. The delivery was the very next day and went super smoothly!
Now for the daily benefits! I am in my Coast Spa every day and usually twice per day! My son and I participate in a rigorous exersice program called "Crossfit" (think boot camp) , and the hot tub is perfect for exercise recovery. It really helps soothe sore muscles and stimulates circulation to move the lactic acid out.
But beyond that, I feel like I am on a mini vacation every timeI get into the spa. I am an outdoors person and I love the fact that I can watch the sky get light in the morning with the sunrise, see the birds feeding , and breathe fresh air all while soaking and sipping my morning coffee. At night, I notice the constellations and planets and their seasonal movements, it's a great way to relax before sleep.
If I could give you some advice it would be to place your Coast Spa as close to your house as you can, and get the spa steps so it is easy to get in and out. My spa is right on my patio, six feet from the back door and we were in the hot tub during the big snowstorm, it was sooo much fun! I have converted my laundry room into the cabana and leave my swimming suits there to dry and change into. It is so nice to pull a warm towel out of the dryer, too!
I hope you will be able to "take the plunge" at Long Island Pool and Spa and start enjoying your hot tub as soon as you possibly can!

Called & Annie I can not say enough about her. I had a lot of questions and when I say alot I mean it. I could have been a tire kicker but Annie never rushed me off the phone and answered all my questions and repeated phone calls. She never made me feel like she was in a rush to get off the phone or like I was bothering her. I have several spa dealers locally and needed to order several replacement jets. Most of them had attitudes because the spa did not come from them and made it sound like a big issue.
After researching on line for about 10 minutes I was able to find out exactly what jets I needed and that they were readily available from a company called Waterway for sale to most Spa dealers, but nobody took the time. I called Annie, she knew exactly what I needed and never gave me the feeling like I was being rushed even though I called several times prior to ordering. All I can Say is if you need Spa parts buy from this company no matter where you live u won't go wrong."

Message: Annie goes above and beyond. No hesitation to help even though I did not purchase spa from them like many other local companys. Hense the reason I'm dealing with someone in New York and not Mass.

"Family run" is the feel you get when you walk in. The staff is friendly and seamlessly work as a team. They have a great selection of hard to find pool parts too. After having placed an order for a hard to find part online with a no-name company, I happened to be in LI Pool & Spa and saw the same item in stock for a lower price. Forget the online places - check out LI Pool and Spa first if you're in the area."

I purchased a 18x33 King George Semi – In ground pool from you last fall, and I had it installed by Level Water. I just wanted to send you a note and some photos to thank you for a wonderful 2008 swimming season! The pool was installed in just 3 days last fall, then closed for the winter. In the spring, Autumn Leaf Landscape completely renovated our backyard, and did all the pavers, retaining walls, plantings and fencing. The pool is perfect for our small yard, and the whole project looks great. When I came in to buy the pool, there really weren’t any photos available showing one of these King George pools installed fully in the ground with the top rail not showing, so I vowed that I'd provide you with some photos of my completed project.
The photos are attached. From the bobcat tearing up the lawn to the kids having fun this summer, the pictures tell it all. We are very happy with our pool, your service ( thanks Annie ), and your price. People that come to our house to see the pool the first time says, "I thought you got a semi-in ground?" I think that says it all.
Please show these to potential customers that want to know what a semi-in ground can look like. I certainly would of had less anxiety during this project if I knew how nice it would turn out.
We wandered into your store, after wasting the entire swim season fighting with another pool company. Our story is long because of Jeff, Mike and Tim we are not just satisfied, but happy pool owners once again. We have owned 4 pools at different residences over the last 25 years, all of have been purchased and installed by different companies. We never went back to any pool dealer or installer and frankly could not recommend any of them to our friends. As experienced pool owners it is without hesitation that we recommend Long Island Pool and Spa, as well as MD Pools Co. to anyone who has ever felt abandoned after a pool was installed. Our saga began when we purchased the best pool with an upgraded liner. We paid for "white glove" service and installation. We bought patio blocks and had the ground surveyed and leveled for a pretty penny from their "expert installation team". Then the problems began: 3 missed install dates, 3 clowns who left cigarette butts all over my yard - right next to the unused patio blocks and "spare parts to the watch". We waited one week as we were told before we backfilled the perimeter with sand, dirt and rocks - and THANK GOODNESS WE DID - The metal track that holds in the walls were lifted out with sand seeping through. The oval pool was so unleveled that the water line was off 9" from end to end. To make a long story short the very same pool was taken apart and re-installed 5 times, with bent piping, the liner pulled back and forth so much that it was over stretched - brand new but already out of warranty because of the abuse it took. Still we could not swim because the walls kept raising out of the track and the manufacturer felt it was probably unsafe. Worse than that the pool company claimed it was something we did.
After 72 phone calls to the "ghost" company, the manufacturer of the pool, the liner company, Nassau County Dept of Consumer Affairs, Newsday, News 12 and the threat to picket the stores ion Labor Day Weekend -- the monstrosity was removed from our yard. We received a refund, but never an apology for losing the entire swim season, filling up/draining the pool 6 times, or reimbursement for town pool passes. In fact the day the same clowns came to remove the structure we were told "wow Island Rec. never does this - usually if we ignore the complaints people stop calling and give up the fight!!!"
Back to Long Island Pool and Spas....
From the minute we entered the store with cranky children in tow, we were met with respect. We were not oversold, and in fact were steered to a sale pool that had been ordered for another customer who could no longer accept delivery. It was the exact size of the pool we had just taken down. We had a seamless installation on the scheduled day, where all the parts and blocks were used to properly secure the structure. The ground was re leveled to a tune of 6.5". Our yard was left clean and the installer from MD Pool Co. were as nice as could be. There were 3 small finials for the deck that were absent from the box, and the installers recognized it and actually informed me of the fact. Based on our prior experience we went over the pool with a fine tooth comb and everything was perfect. Sadly it was fall and we closed the pool never having gone in it. I called yesterday and spoke with Tim, who knew all about the missing finials, and he was going to check into it and call me back today. WELL HE DID, and he also informed me that there were 2 crossbars that were lost in the shuffle between the customer whom the pool was ordered and us. At our convenience there installers will be back to install them.
Happy Swimming
Debbie and Rich Sumowski
We recently purchased out first family pool from you. We researched a bunch of pools and pool companies when we decided to come into your store on a snowy day in January. Tim sat down with us, realizing we never owned a pool, he spent time going over every detail he thought we should know about the different options and the importance of buying a good pool from a good company. He encouraged us to go home and digest all the information and compare your company against the competition. We did that and found no one treated is the way Tim did, and none of the pools we saw compare to the Buster Crabbe Milano pool we were interested in.
When we came back a few weeks later to buy the pool, we were disappointed to hear Tim was not in. Much to our surprise Annie was quick to finish where Tim had left off. She treated our family like we were her most important customer and explained how payment, delivery and installation would be carried out. The time we spent with Annie reassured us that we make the right decision to buy from Long Island Pool and Spa.
Our Pool was delivered complete as promised a couple of days before installation. The gentleman who delivered the pool was just as concerned with our happiness as Tim and Annie and was sure to explain everything he delivered and asked where we would like to put the boxes, which he carted all the way to the back of our yard.
Installation was done on April 30th. Installers Mike and Steve were true professionals. They did a beautiful job in a short time all while answering our many questions. Often when you have people work on your home or yard it could be a miserable experience, but with Mike and Steve it was nothing but pleasurable.
With the pool installed, I decided to stop into the store to ask more questions about chemicals and how the filter operates. I was greeted by Jeff, someone I have not met before, and hit him with a barrage of questions. Once again like everyone else I have met from Long Island Pool and Spa, Jeff was a pleasure to deal with and answered all my questions making sure I was comfortable with the use of my new filter.
The crew at Long Island Pool and Spa are truly amazing. You bring back a wonderful experience of buying from a local shop that has been lost over the years. You are a family run business who not only makes the customer feel important but also make you feel like part of the family. We are so very glad we came into your store on that snowy day in January.
We look forward to doing business with you for many years to come.
Thank you so much for a great experience.
